Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man deported from the United States, has alleged he was subjected to severe beatings and psychological torture while imprisoned in El Salvador’s massive CECOT facility.

According to court filings, his attorneys claim he endured repeated physical assaults, prolonged forced kneeling, sleep deprivation, and denial of basic needs, raising grave human rights concerns about the conditions in the country's high-security prisons.
