Guatemala inaugurated the Xochi bypass on the Central American Highway Two West, completing what authorities describe as Latin America's first sustainably verified infrastructure project. The new route improves a key trade corridor linking Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador, which supports more than half of Guatemala's gross domestic product.
