El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele has strongly denied allegations that inmate Kilmar Abrego Garcia was beaten and tortured in one of the country’s high-security prisons, calling the accusations false and politically motivated.

The case has drawn international attention following U.S. court filings and testimony describing beatings, sleep deprivation, and psychological abuse.

Bukele released video evidence he says proves proper treatment, while human rights advocates demand independent investigations.
