Central America Growth Forecast Cut to 2.2% Amid Energy and Supply Chain Pressures

The United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean lowered its 2026 growth outlook for Central America to 2.2%, citing inflation, supply chain disruptions and rising transport costs despite continued infrastructure investment in parts of the region.
